HSG-520-E
Large format profile contacts
The HSG-520-E contact welder is a further development of the 500-E-series. It was optimized specifically for the welding/soldering of heavy duty profile contacts. The welding is done horizontally and at a 90° angle to the carrier strap.
The unit can process profiles or wire standards up to 6 mm² because of the larger design. The operating sequence is similar to that of the 500-E-series. The electrodes are also pin electrodes that can be cooled directly
The contacts are pushed in by a transfer pusher (as with the HSG-500-E), but this is activated by a tension spring and retracted by a cam.
Advantages of the HSG-520-E
- Cutting elements and electrode arms in reinforced design
- Individual feed of the contact cuts under the electrode
- Vacant welding environment – shunts are an impossibility!
- Directly coolable pin electrodes with 6 to 12 flat working surfaces
- No dirt contamination
Special features in the process
The contacts are inserted (as with the HSG-500-E) via a transport slide, but this is actuated by a tension spring and retracted via a cam. The contacts are cut by carbide cutting elements and conveyed into the transport slide. The contact sections are guided by the transport slide under the electrode and positioned there. Flat electrodes are used, eliminating the problem of dirty electrode pockets and deposits. Contamination is significantly reduced. The welding environment is free, as the contact sections are held only by the electrodes - undesirable shunts are thus eliminated.
Efficiency in production
Cam-controlled sequences ensure first-class welding quality even with fast work processes. The proven cassette quick-change system for different contact welding wires or contact welding profiles allows you to change over production in no time at all.
